Iranian movie ‘Yedoo’ is slated to vie at the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

The young adults film, directed by Mehdi Jafari, has applied for the 39th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

‘Yedoo’ illuminates the first days of Iraq’s imposed war against Iran in the besieged city of Abadan.

The film stars Setareh Pesyani, Akbar Odood, Reyhaneh Aryamanesh, Reza Nouri, Tahereh Nik-Azad, Maedeh Rami, Ahmad Mosaferi and Yasin Masoudi.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
